Scott Sauerbeck, former Pirates pitcher, dead at age 53

Scott Sourbeck, in forms MLB pitcher Who played for four major league teams, died Wednesday in Florida. He was 53 years old.

Pittsburgh baseball now He informed that Sauerbeck suffered a heart attack. He made his debut in the big leagues with Pittsburgh’s pirates in 1999. The franchise confirmed the death of the pitcher on Thursday.

“The Pirates family cries the death of Scott Sauerbeck,” the team wrote, previously known as Twitter. “Scott played for the 1999-2003 Bucs and shares the club record for most games released by an LHP in a season.

“Our thoughts are with your family and friends during this time.”

The 2002 season was perhaps the most memorable of Sauerbeck, since its 78 appearances established the Pirates franchise record for most games released in a single season. It is still the owner of the record.

Sauerbeck landed with the Red Boston socks Through an exchange during the 2003 season, he signed with Cleveland. It did not appear in any game in 2004 due to an injury.

A season with athletics in 2006 marked his final career in the elderly. Sauerbeck got a minor leagues contract with Cincinnati’s organization in 2008.
