Woman accused of harassing Madeleine McCann’s family

A woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann has been accused of four positions of stalking the missing girl’s family.

Julia Wandel, also known as Julia Wandelt, was arrested at Bristol airport on Wednesday under suspicion of harassment that implies serious alarms and anguish.

Mrs. Wandel, originally from Poland, will be presented at the Leicester magistrates court later.

The court documents indicate that the 23 -year -old sent messages, left voice messages and appeared in the family home between January 3, 2024 and February 15, 2025.

The documents say that Mrs. Wandel went to the McCann house twice, on May 2 and December 7, in addition to sending WhatsApp messages to Kate and Gerry McCann, and Instagram messages to her brothers .
