I am a mother with 3 boys. Here are 5 things that I taught them about being a man

Children face adversity and have multiple opportunities to defend their beliefs long before becoming men. It is never too early to practice doing the right thing.

The family is the best team and parents have a leadership role of critical importance. Television characters, like Bundy, Homer Simpsonand Phil Dunphy, who portrays parents as stupid, immoral and/or useless, have diminished the role of men in the family too much. Sports teams provide moments of teaching on the leadership that children can lead to paternity.

3. Know how to hit

Sports teams, for example, teach children how to receive a blow, both literally and metaphorically. While observing my father and my husband, two male men whom I admire deeply, I have noticed that being a man implies knowing how to deal with physical pain.
