Two governors, one Democrat and the other Republican, found a common land in a National Association of Governors Meeting in Washington, DC, on one of the most critical objectives of President Donald Trump.
The governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, Democrat and president of the National Association of Governors, and the Republican governor of Oklahoma, Kevin Stitt, told Fox News Digital that they want states to have an opinion on the application of immigration and permissions of job.
“We want to make sure to be on the table in that regarding immigration,” Polis told Fox News Digital.
Democrats say they are against government waste, but they hate more
He said that the idea that states should have a table on the table regarding immigration decisions “has a lot of support (between) democratic and republican governors.”
Polis said states know what their work needs are and could grant work permits after careful investigation.
“We can grant those based on free background verifications … and that will help our economic growth,” said Polis.

Polis, whose state has been the zero zone due to criminal activity and violence by the migrant gang Aragua trainHe said that “various degrees of cooperation” between state and federal authorities are necessary.
Colorado has several sanctuary -style laws that limit the cooperation of the application of the law with federal authorities, but Polis insisted that its relationship with federal law enforcement agencies is strong.

Stitt said It will encourage Trump to consider giving states the ability to grant visas of workforce.
“I have been a defender of the visas of the workforce at the state level,” said Stitt. “To match employers with employees is something that governors should be able to do, either in the construction industry, the agricultural industry, engineering, aviation, whatever.”

He joked that the United States is “like (a team in) the NFL with the Draft Pection No. 1 “.
“We should be able to choose the best and brightest for our country. But we are only being nonsense how we do it right now. Let’s close the border. Let’s ensure that we have the best and brightest that enter our country.” Said Stitt.
Stitt also promoted the Guardian operation of his state, which he launched earlier this month to train the state and local police to work better with the Trump administration and ice to deport illegal criminal aliens.
“I put my public security commissioner in charge to say: ‘How many people do we currently have in prison in the state of Oklahoma who are illegally here that they have committed crimes? And then, how can we work with the Trump administration to obtain them out of Our state, outside our country and the rolls of taxpayers in Oklahoma.

However, Stitt said there is a limit for what states should be doing to enforce the immigration law. He proceeded to eliminate a recent effort from the Public Instruction Department of the State of Oklahoma to verify the immigration status of children registered in public schools.

“It is unfortunate that Governor Stitt is frustrating President Trump’s first America,” Walters told Fox News Digital. “We cannot afford our heads in the sand like the Democrats and ignore the cost of the illegal to the taxpayers. President Trump was clear, Oklahoma’s voters were clear and we will defend the will of the president and the oklahomanos.”
