Marvel Cinematic Universe is now the basis of pop culture, to the extent that it absorbs films with which it originally had nothing to do with.
Although it is fun to see how Wesley Snipes and Tobey Maguire appear for enlarged portraits in entertaining movies, it serves only as a sharp reminder of how creatively diverse and stylistic the fascinating palette of Marvel were.
In this spirit, I thought I would make a small rating that would give me some warmth in the comments. We will include eleven non-MCU Miracle Movies are worth your time, and in my opinion, they are all better use of your time than most MCU movies.
Well, as always with these things, clarifying the rules. “Non-Mcu” means movies that were made outside the established canon and supervision of the Marvel Film Universe.
So Andrew Garfield will appear Spider-Man: Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey does not do Amazing Spider-Man 2 MCU film by my previous definition. The same thought process: although Mickey bought Fox and The Marvel Powers-it was the whole TVA Deadpool & Wolverinefirst two Deadpool Films would count as non-MCU movies.
But none of them is on this list. Instead, we start with a movie, I think the real Wade Wilson would approve.
Uninitiated bomb for release and moved to something more than just punch for comics and movies fans, Howard duck This list suffers for some reasons that might sound justified if you are crazy like me.
For one, Howard duck is an ambitious and beautifully bizarre attempt to adapt the satirical figure Steve Gerber to the pop -up order of 80. science fiction blockbuster. Do not make a mistake, it is a failure of its overall creative goal, but it is such a high -level failure that its mistakes are more interesting and often fun than most decent films.
And only at the level of effects, Howard duck It is impressive for an era with some underestimated work from people in Industrial Light & Magic, such as the legendary Phil Tippett. George Lucas was a powerful producer and is always dazzling to watch him burn money on the screen.
But if you are a Marvel historian, Howard duck The first theater film Marvel is the first watch. At the age of 40, the film was Captain America, but these are episodes and not the right film.
Thanks to this technical ability, Howard will always be Marvel’s first real film star, for better and much worse.
I’m probably losing credit with everyone thanks to these first two items, but it’s my list and there is no way of unreleased and unfinished Roger Corman produced a version The Fantastic It will be missing on the spot.
The story of the film and its infamous production is well presented in the documentary Doomed: The unspeakable story of Roger Corman The Fantastic FourAnd this aspect itself makes it a wonderful curiosity, but a real film is surprisingly cute and serious in the old school of a classic comic book.
The cast does not look down on the material and there is “AW Shucks!” quality Fantastic It gives leagues above many larger budget studio superheroes.
I know everyone is excited about the official MCU Fantastic Four film and I’m sure it will be pleased with a lot of people, but I would be surprised if it culminated this cheesy, clumsy and charming piece of Marvel’s discarded history.
Give Fantastic Proper relaxation, Marvel!
I feel that this and the next record will be the most important controversial for their places in this ranking. This is therefore X2: X-Men United And another film is a sequel that are widely considered to be the main upgrades from their predecessors.
And I agree when this happens X2. Damn, the first film didn’t even create on this list. X2 There’s a lot … you know, I can just call it X-men 2? I will call that X-men 2. X-men 2 It is a tonnely polished film, the world builds with new characters, action sequences get serious upgrades, and the melodrama of it all just clicks much better for the second time.
We will see the X-Men and Wolverine again on this list, so we will not spend too long at this entry, but it is enough to say it from many franchise X-Men films that have been made, X-men 2 It stands out because one really is worth watching.
I know, says the popular consensus Blade II It is better than the first movie and it is not difficult to understand why many people feel so. Director Guillermo del Toro brings so much of his genre dizziness to this sequel and it is all welcome.
Reaper vampires are amazing and feel like prototypes for the original sci-fi sci-fi and Del Toro TV series. Voltage.
And that’s my great feeling Blade II It’s that it’s more of a wonderful movie Guillermo del Toro rather than a really great Blade movie, but it’s still an amazing Guillermo Del Toro movie and quite a damn entertaining Blade movie. I love when the films Marvel feel so clearly by the shepherd with a single creative voice, and that is certainly the case Blade II.
But we weren’t with Blade on this list.
Lee’s Wreck Another example of Marvel is so clearly led by a strong artistic vision. So strong that his visual language and style are so abrasive and weird that it is not a secret, why it was very shut down.
Somehow Lee was able to create a legitimate art project from the film Studio Comic Book. It is harsh to the extent that we have barely seen in normal testing issues, and the uniqueness causes something worth emphasizing.
Wreck It is a dark and surprisingly contemplative expression of solving children’s traumas and poor parenting. I get if it’s a movie that is only visually there to click but in my eyes, Wreck He is one of the few comic superhero films that dare to be a direct Arthouse Madhouse.
I could catch flak because this one is not higher in the ranking and below the next X-Men input and that’s okay because I think Logan can take it.
This prestigious trip for Hugh Jackman This should serve as his proper departure from the franchise, which will still be able to stand independently as a mature and sophisticated entrance to the canon without MCU.
Filming and performances meet at the right level to provide one of the absolute best Marvel films. I’m not saying anything new but I hope Logan It resists the time of time as a separate reflector for the Ne-MCU Marvel era.
Especially black and white Logan noir version.
Sam Raimi He brought Marvel’s unofficial mascot to a large screen with all the pomp and taste of the original comic.
Knockout casting across the album helped Spider-Man He is in the hearts of the audience around the world. The management is up to money, but who does not love an expert supporting the cast of cliff Robertson as the perfect uncle Ben, Rosemary Harris as an even more perfect aunt can and can and Jk Simmons As the highest J. Jonah Jameson?
Spider-Man It is very right and still works satisfactory if it is simple enough. Real classic.
Assessment of the above Logan and X-men 2 is probably another reason why you are in comments that require my head but my recognition X-Men: First Class It grows every year.
Vibrant use of fashion and design 60. First class Much visually stay.
Not to mention the fact that the X-Men movies to this point were very much focused on Wolverine, so the transition to the truly giving professor Xavier and Magneto The right story was welcome. And because of the huge shoes of James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender They entered it, eventually deliver what I think is the best scene between the two characters in any of the movies.
I love villain Sebastian Shaw of Kevin Bacon and his final fate, the whole relationship between Charles and Erik and Gro’s vibration of this movement. If I ever felt like he was just appearing in the X-Men movie, it would be First class.
We actually performed Punisher: A war zone Recently in the next video, if you want to hear some of my thoughts, check this video above!
The older I have, the more I admit how much I love Blade. Everything about the film is in harmony with yourself and that everything comes from the basic strength Wesley snipes Like Daywalker.
The opening sequence of Blood Rave has now improved the history of pop culture as an iconic action sequence of the film.
I just could sit and look Blade All day, soaking in a delicious performance of Stephen Dorff as a villain FROST or watching Blade explodes vampires with explosive juice of vampires.
Blade It’s great. It’s Marvel’s best movie with R rating, it can be the best movie wesley snipes. Why do I write it and do not follow Blade? I’ll go to see Blade And then I return to the last record.
I don’t know if the films of superhero, let alone marvel movies are better than Spider-Man 2. Everything that worked in the first movie gets a nice piece of polishing and everything else is upgrading to make it much, much better.
The story, performance, stimulation, drama, action, cinematography, music all works in such an incredible Unison to make a Marvel film that L easily argues at the top of every movie on MCU.
Spider-Man 2 It is a sincere and powerful expansion of the first film, which also offers some of the best film tastes Sama Raimi. If you don’t love a hospital sequence, I ask if you like movies.
If you want to spend time watching the real masterpiece of Marvel Comics Cinema, your best bet is Spider-Man 2.
