The president of the United States, Donald Trump, appointed the right -wing commentator Dan Bongino as deputy director of the FBI.
Trump published on social networks that Bongino was “a man of incredible love and passion for our country” and would serve under the newly confirmed director of the FBI Kash Patel.
Bongino, 50, is the former NYPD and the Secret Service and worked as part of the protection detail for two presidents: George W Bush and Barack Obama.

“Thank you, Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi and director Patel,” Bongino wrote in X in a publication after Trump’s announcement.
Trump said in his announcement on social networks on Sunday that Bongino is “willing and prepared to give up” the podcast “to serve.”
“Equity, justice, law and order will be returned to the United States and quickly,” Trump added.
He said Bongino would do an “incredible work” in the FBI.
Bongino, who ran for Congress three times, hosted the now president in his daily podcast, Dan Bongino’s show, before last year’s elections.
The episodes of their last week’s program include titles such as “Trump continue to deliver and the free are boiling” and “The only people who love the crime are criminals!”
Speaking of his career as a prolific conservative commentator, Bongino said in 2018: “My life is about owning Libs now.”

The new head of the FBI of the Bongino, Patel, was confirmed by last week by the Senate to lead the agency to apply the law that has attacked for a long time.
