Maitland Ward and his former co -star of ‘Boy Meets World’ share aleced exchange

Although almost 25 years have passed since the successful television program of the 90s “Boy knows the world” He came to an end, there seems to be enough tension among some of his stars.

During a recent one Episode of “Pod Mets World” Podcast, hosts and former co -star Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong and Will Friedle welcomed the guests Maitland neighborhood (who portrayed Rachel Mcquire in later seasons) to discuss their shared experiences. While the conversation was cheerful during the first half of the 90 -minute episode, things gave an awkward turn when Fishel (who portrayed Topanga Lawrence in the series) asked Ward: “Do you hate us?”

“No, I don’t hate you,” said Ward, who has since found success as an adult movie star. “I think you hate me because you wouldn’t talk to me in ‘Girl Meets World’ (Disney Channel spin-off of ‘Boy Meets World’)) and that was harmful.”

“You had an attitude about it. There was some flesh between us, and I didn’t understand it,” he added later. “I didn’t know if you thought I was trying to steal attention … I was really confused why we wouldn’t be good.”

Fishel admitted that “Girl knows the world”, in which he starred with Ben Savage (who interpreted his love for a long time, Cory Matthews, in “Boy Meets World”), Sabrina Carpenter And Rowan Blanchard, was a “very difficult set.”

“Let’s say it in this way, the memories we have of the fun team of ‘Boy Meets World’ were not the memories of the funny set of ‘Girl Meets World,” he said. “I entered waiting for it, and it wasn’t. It was a pretty tumultuous place. I felt very ostracted. I felt very criticized. I felt many different things in that set … I’m sorry I thought I had something personally against you.”

“You didn’t like the fact that I was receiving close attention at that time and leaving in my own space and removing that attention,” Ward said.

Ward also mentioned the fact that Fishel apparently discouraged her on Facebook years ago.

In 2013, Ward sent Fishel a Facebook message but never received an answer. Fishel said he rarely wore Facebook and did not see the message until 2022 after Friedle had connected with Ward to appear in his podcast. Fishel said he asked Friedle to obtain Ward’s number to apologize directly to her.

“You returned to Will, ‘No, let’s simply keep it for the podcast'” and then added that Ward said “shake the statistics.”

Ward said he felt that Fishel’s request was “false.”

That was not the end of his heated trip.

Fishel asked Ward why I had spoken negatively about the cast in the past, which Ward replied: “Are you trying to accuse me of using you or are you trying to accuse me of something?”

“I think there is also a division, because you hate Ben (Savage) and you hate (creator) Michael (Jacobs),” he added.

“Ben is one of the most important people I have met in my life, and I cannot bear the fact that he will not talk to us,” Friedle replied. “And that’s what it is: it won’t talk to us,” he said. “I can show you the last three years, literally, of messages and in the midst of a conversation with Ben, he only rescued me. Ben a day woke up and said: ‘I don’t want will in my life’ and I never told myself why.”

When Fishel asked Ward if he listens to his podcast on a regular basis, he said: “No,” but said he focuses on many “negative things.”

“The same way you wrote your book about your experiences does not mean that they are negative,” said Fishel, who referred to Ward’s 2022 memories. “They are just experiences. So you do not listen to the podcast regularly, but your general opinion is that we are negative about Michael and Ben and the program.”

“Let’s be honest about this. You are trying to leave now to get the qualifications because you know that people will be interested. I just wanted to remember the good times,” Ward said.

“I am not the one who wanted to go for grades … This is what you asked,” said Fishel.

After saying goodbye, Fishel said Ward’s decision to come to the podcast seemed “an opportunity for her to press conflict.”

“Similarly to the way he decided when ‘Girl knows the world’ and everything in the press, which was an opportunity for her to be made in the cosplay game and in the roles game, felt That this was an opportunity for her to press with conflict, which I am not your girl to do that, “Fishel said about the heated exchange. “And he thought it was false to me to communicate with her. I think wanting to do it for statistics is false.”

Ward and Fishel representatives did not immediately respond to the request for Fox News Digital comments.
