Senator Alex Padilla, D-Cali. ELON ALMIZCLE and the interim director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Charles Ezell stops sending mass emails to employees.
In an open letter published on Thursday, Padilla said several Legislative branches And the agencies have received mass emails from hr@opm.gov despite not being subject to personnel actions by the Executive Power.
“Neither the White House Neither (the government efficiency department) nor OPM has any legitimate authority or purpose to send legislative branches and mass email agencies that require employee information or threaten the adverse actions of the staff, “said Padilla.
During the weekend, the OPM sent mass emails to federal government workers, asking them to resume what they did during the previous week using five bullet points. They had until 11:59 pm on Monday to provide their responses to the investigation.

Padilla said that these emails, received by legislative employees, wasted “time and resources and potentially (deceived) to employees to respond and share information from the legislative branch unauthorizedly.”

Padilla added that emails were “especially worrisome”, since several executive agencies “have even warned their own employees that they do not respond to these messages because doing so would risk the confidential information that would fall into the hands of malignant foreign actors.”

“The fact that these mass emails also go beyond the scope of the executive branch is another sign of how Dege is operating in an uninformed, poorly executed and chaotic way,” said Padilla.
