Georgia’s camera recently passed the “Riley Gaines Act Which aims to prohibit transgender athletes against biological girls and women.
The bill bears the name of Gaines, the host of the podcast “Gaines for Girls” in Outkick, who has been a champion to keep biological men outside the sports of girls and women since he competed against Lia Thomas, a trans swimmer who won a NCAA title three years ago.
The representatives voted 102-54 for Bill from the camera 267 Thursday.

While the 54 did not come from the Democrats, three of them voted to approve; Zero Republicans voted no, and of the 10 who did not vote, nine were Democrats.
The measure moves to the Senate, which has approved its own separate legislation.
“Female athletes deserve fair competition and that means the opportunity to maintain the divisions of women other than the categories of men,” republican representative Josh Bonner of Fayetteville, the sponsor of the bill.

The Athletic Association of Georgia’s high school currently prohibits transgender students from participating in sports based on their gender identity; Another 25 states have laws that restrict the sports participation of trans athletes.
Democratic representative Karla Drenner of Avondale Estates said that the bill is “calculated, dangerous and deeply discriminatory legislation that goes far beyond the scope of athletics.”
“Let’s call this the deletion law of transgender georgians today,” said Drenner, who was the first member of the LGBTQ+ legislature openly LGBTQ when he was chosen in 2000.
Several states, despite the executive order of President Donald Trump, have allegedly remained allowing transgender athletes to compete against biological women; The Education Department has launched Title IX investigations in California, Minnesota and Maine for doing so.
