The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, publicly reacted for the first time since his explosion of the Oval Office with President Donald Trump on Friday with a position on social networks that thanked the United States.
“Thanks America, thanks for your support, thanks for this visit”, “Zelenskyy Posted in x. “Thank you @potus. Congress and the American people. Ukraine needs fair and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”
The post was Zelenskyy’s first comment since a meeting with Trump and vice president JD Vance became a match of shouts in the White House with the three leaders who argue about what “cards” of Ukraine and if Zelenskyy has shown enough gratitude to the United States.

A press conference scheduled on Friday was canceled after the aeded exchange and Zelenskyy was seen quickly leaving the White House to a car waiting and moving away.
