The efforts of the Trump administration to negotiate a peace negotiation that ended the war in Ukraine was arrested on Friday after an irritable exchange among the president Donald TrumpVice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The meeting finally led to a canceled press conference, Trump asked Zelenskyy to leave the White House, and not sign a rare land mineral agreement between the United States and Ukraine that would have allowed the United States access to the minerals of Ukraine.
The tensions intensified in the Oval office after Zelenskyy challenged Vance, who said that the way to follow was through diplomacy. Instead, Zelenskyy issued a caution and pointed out that Russian President Vladimir Putin has broken other agreements in the past.
“What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you talking?” Zelenskyy said. “What do you mean?”
In response, Vance said: “I am talking about the type of diplomacy that will end with the destruction of his country.”
“Mr. President, with respect, I think it is disrespectful for you to come to the oval office to try to litigate this in front of the US media,” Vance told Zelenskyy. “At this time, you are circling and forcing the recruits to the front line because you have labor problems. You should thank the president for bringing him, to take him to this country.”
Trump also broke Zelenskyy and warned him that Ukraine was in “big problems” and was “betting with World War II.”

After the meeting, Trump announced a pause to the peace negotiations and said that Zelenskyy could return to the White House when he was “ready for peace.” In addition, Zelenskyy left the White House without signing the mineral agreement.
“I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if the United States is involved, because he feels that our participation gives him a great advantage in the negotiations,” Trump said in a real social position on Friday. “I don’t want advantage, I want peace. He did not respect the United States of America in his appreciated Oval office. He can return when he is ready for peace.”
Zelenskyy also continued with a publication on social networks about X that expresses gratitude to the United States for his support.
“Thank you America, thanks for your support, thanks for this visit,” said Zelenskyy. “Thank you @potus, the American Congress and people. Ukraine needs fair and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”
Despite the consequences of the meeting, Zelenskyy told Bret Baier de Fox News on Friday that the relationship between Ukraine and the United States could be rescued.

Large -scale reductions in force
Trump administration too sent an instruction note to the agencies Throughout the federal government, to launch plans for “large -scale reductions in force” and build reorganization plans in mid -March.
The White House Administration and Budget Office and the Personnel Management Office sent a memorandum on Wednesday ordering agencies that prepare to reduce staff and share reorganization plans on March 13.

Several federal government roles are exempt from the order, including those “necessary to comply with the application of the law, border security, national security, the application of the immigration law or public security responsibilities”, according to the Memo.
First cabinet meeting
Trump held the first meeting of his second administration with the members of the Cabinet on Wednesday, where he shared plans to greatly reduce the Environmental Protection Agency and try to recover military teams that remain in Afghanistan.
Trump revealed that the EPA administrator Lee Zeldin is considering reducing 65% of the agency’s federal employees.

“I talked to Lee Zeldin, and he believes that he will reduce 65 percent of people in the environment, and we will accelerate the process also at the same time,” Trump said. “He had many people who were not doing their job, they were only obstructionists and many people who did not exist.”
Trump also shared that he wanted to return to the military teams that remained the US troops when retiring from Afghanistan, but did not share plans on how the United States would recover the team.

“We leave billions, tens of billions of dollars in teams, new trucks,” Trump said Wednesday. “You see them exhibit it every year, or its small road, somewhere where they have a road and that lead, stirring the flag and talking about America … That is the top of the line. I think we should recover that team a lot.”
