The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said that he wants the United States to remain more firmly on our side “after his burning exchange of the White House with the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
After arriving at the United Kingdom to participate in a summit of European leaders, Zelensky urged the United States to continue their support for Ukraine despite “the hard dialogue” between the two parties.

In Russia, the spokeswoman for the Kremlin Foreign Ministry called Zelensky to Washington as a “complete diplomatic failure of kyiv.”
Maria Zakharova said that the Ukrainian president is “obsessed” with the prolongation of war, and repeated Russia’s insistence on annexing all the territories currently occupied by Russia.
Before the summit of London, where European leaders will discuss efforts to ensure a peace agreement, Zelensky has met with the United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who “retains unwavering support for Ukraine.”
BBC News understands that King Carlos III will also meet with Zelensky on Sunday, at the request of the United Kingdom government.
