Oppo of China takes advantage of Google to impulse privacy, taking the Apple page


Oppo is the sixth largest smartphone manufacturer in China, according to Counterpoint Research.

Barcelona – The Chinese Smart Telephone firm OPPO is taking a page from Apple Playbook with the launch of a private cloud computing system to keep the sensitive conversations of users separated from their own artificial intelligence products.

The company announced on Monday an agreement with Google That will make use the confidential computing software of the US Technology Company, which uses encryption to ensure that user data cannot be seen by third parties, to feed a new solution for preservation of privacy that calls the private computing cloud.

The idea is to ensure that the confidential data of users, such as browser searches and private calls, cannot be shared with Oppo for the effects of training their AI software. Oppo already has an association with Google, where the firm uses the Gemini Foundation Gemini models of the Internet search giant to feed its AI characteristics.

The privacy impulse mimics Apple’s effort to protect user data from your own AI system, Apple Intelligence. The iPhone manufacturer last year debuted in the private cloud or PCCA “cloud intelligence system specifically designed for private AI processing”.

Oppo said that its private computing cloud system will be integrated with several features this year, including recording and the summary of calls, the search and generation of images.
