President Donald Trump admitted before a joint session of the Congress that his new steep rates will cause “a bit of disturbance”, but kept that it was worth harvesting what he promises will be the possible benefits of his aggressive commercial policy.

“The tariffs are trying to make the United States return to rich and make the United States be great. And it is happening, and it will happen quite fast,” Trump said Tuesday night, during the first speech of his second term.

“There will be some disturbance, but we agree with that,” Trump said. “It won’t be much.”
