A plan of $ 53 billion supported by Arabs for the reconstruction of Gaza has obtained the support of France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, after receiving the rejection of the United States. and Israel.
“The plan shows a realistic path towards the reconstruction of Gaza and promises, if implemented, a rapid and sustainable improvement of the catastrophic conditions of life for the Palestinians living in Gaza,” foreign ministers wrote in a joint statement.
The foreign ministers requested a postwar plan based on “a solid political and security framework”, but reiterated the need for Hamas not to govern Gaza. In addition, European leaders said they support the “central role” of the Palestinian authority (PA) in a postwar gaza and “the implementation of their reform agenda.”

The $ 53 billion Egyptian plan was a counter for the president Donald Trump’s IDE OF ACQUISITION OF USA. UU. And it comes after Cairo rejected the idea of accepting the displaced gazans for reasons of “national security.” While Trump’s plan would reassure the Palestinians outside the strip, Egypt’s proposal focuses on the reconstruction efforts led by Palestinians.
Both the United States and Israel have rejected the plan backed by Arabs for the reconstruction of Gaza. The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Israel, Oren Marmorstein, said in a statement that the “does not address the realities of the situation after October 7, 2023, which remains rooted in outdated perspectives.”

Marorstein’s statement also criticized the plan for its dependence on the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). He says that both the AP and the UNRWA “have repeatedly demonstrated corruption, support for terrorism and failure to solve the problem.”
While the special envoy of the United States to the Middle East Steve Witkoff described the plan as “first step in good faith”, the spokesman for the State Department Tammy Bruce told journalists that “it does not meet the requirements, the nature of what President Trump is asking.”
In addition, the National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes expressed concern for the plan in a statement proportionate to Fox News Digital.
“The current proposal does not address the reality that Gaza is currently uninhabitable, and residents cannot live humanly in a territory covered with debris and unleashed artillery. President Trump defends his vision of rebuilding Gaza free of Hamas.”

Trump received strong criticism last month when he suggested that the United States took over Gaza during a press conference with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netnayahu. Trump’s proposal would imply the relocation of Palestinians and turned the enclave into the “Riviera del Middle East.”
