The undisputed champion of semi -marked weight Dmitry Bivol and his mandatory WBC opponent, David Benavidez, are close to finishing an agreement for a fight this summer on a date and location still to be determined.
Bivol promoters in Matchroom and Benavidez in Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) are making the deal, allowing Dmitry to maintain their four belts. Last week, the WBC ordered Bivol (24-1, 12 kos) to begin negotiations with Benavidez (30-0, 24 kos), with a deadline of April 8 for conversations to be completed.
“ATTENTION ATTENTION !!! PBC and MATCHROOM are very close to finishing an agreement for Bivol and David Benavás to face this summer,” said Juliusjulianis in unknown.
Fans want to see Benavász get their opportunity in the four belts by heavyweight, as he won it with his victory over David Morrell last month. In addition, interest in seeing a third fight between Bivol and Artur Beterbiev is being denied after their previous two were more chess games than entertaining.
That’s where Benavidity enters. His specialty is to fight, hitting him with his opponents in action without stopping, and that is what fans of the United States and the world prefer to see. It has the type of style that the people of the modern era like to see.
The winner of the Bivol Vs. fight Benavíz can face former four -belt champion Artur Beterbiev or potentially Canelo Alvarez if he feels brave. Of the two, Álvarez would probably only fight Bivol because he is not someone who would have to worry about being knocked out.
There is still no word from Turki Alalshikh about whether he will try to press Bivol to fight a trilogy with Artur Beterbiev. That is the fight that is believed that Turki wants, and some feel that he is not sure that Bivol can defeat Benavász. Bivol has a better opportunity to defeat the 40 -year -old Bederbiev than “the Mexican monster.”
