It is not addiction; It is such a mortal and addictive supply, it is inescapable. And where does it come from? Mexico, with its posters running without control; Canada, where fentanyl laboratories appear under lax supervision; and China, which is sending the chemicals that feed this nightmare. For too long, these countries did nothing while our children died.
That is why I am so grateful to the president Donald Trump. He is taking the fentanyl crisis seriously, something I would like to have seen when Weston was still alive. President Trump is implementing tariffs in the imports of Canada, Mexico and China to hold them responsible for allowing this poison to freely flow to our country.
Not only is he talking about the problem; President Trump is reaching these nations where it hurts: just in his wallets. The president does not believe that they have done enough, and I neither.
