For Larry Sanger, finding faith in God was a surprise, even for him.

When he was a teenager, he concluded that the worldview of a person shaped the decisions he made, for good or worse. He told himself that he would only adopt beliefs that he had good reasons to believe that they were true, so as not to make the same catastrophic mistakes that he saw others in his life.

Sanger’s agnosticism solidified in the postgraduate school, he said. But the fundamental events in his life promoted him to examine some of these beliefs.
After marrying and having his first child, he began to question his prior belief in his own rational interest, for example.

That all the questions that had asked me before had asked other people and answered in several ways, some more plausible than others. “What I had not understood is that the reason why there is a 2000 -year -old theology tradition is that the Bible resists the questions. If not, you could not keep talking about it with such detail and the doctrines behind it,” he continued.
He began to pray to God and finally accepted Christ as his Savior in 2020. Sanger admitted that he was initially surprised by his conversion. He has been relatively quiet about his faith so far, he said, because he wanted to feel prepared to articulate his faith and defend it.
