“Canada will never be part of America,” says the incoming prime minister

Mark Carney, the next Prime Minister of Canada, declared that his country will win the commercial war that exploded with the United States under President Donald Trump.

The former governor of the Bank of England addressed a multitude of liberal supporters after the result of the leadership contest was announced on Sunday night.

In his speech, Carney promised to keep the retaliation rates “until Americans show us respect.”

While Donald Trump signed last week, orders significantly expanded the exempt goods of his new tariffs in Canada, said the White House. 62% of Canada’s imports can still face tariffs.
