When he was contacted to comment, an Oxford Center lawyer issued a statement to Fox 2, saying that they are fully cooperating with the researchers, although they are disappointed with the charges.
“The moment of these charges is surprising, since the typical protocol after an accident related to the fire has not yet been completed. There are still outstanding questions about how this happened. However, the prosecutor’s office proceeded to present charges without those answers,” says the statement. “Our highest priority every day is the security and well -being of the children and families we serve, which continues during this process.”
The day of the Mortal explosionThe child’s mother, Annie Cooper, was sitting in a waiting room while her son received treatment for attention/hyperactivity deficit disorder (ADHD) and sleep apnea.

Thomas was receiving treatment that consisted of 100% oxygen on January 31 at Oxford Center, located about 24 miles north of Detroit.
“He was in the waiting room and was alerted that … something wrong had happened. He hastened where his son was, and tried, he tried and tried to take him out and … he could not,” said James Harrington of Fieger Law, Fox News Digital. “She suffered serious and significant burns in that attempt to rescue her son.”
Fieger Law is investigating the incident, and Harrington believes that Oxford Center “had little personal and did not have the resources for an emergency like this.”
The Oxford Center declared on its website: “Hyperbaric oxygen is a alternative treatment What will decrease inflammation, oxygen the entire body, stimulate the growth of new healthy blood vessels and released stem cells, up to 800% more after 20 sessions. Studies have reported an improvement in concentration, communication, working memory and sleep. “
