This week I spend some time from the state by visiting my parents because of some much needed rest and relaxation. While things usually go well, I was stuck Friends last night because I lost distant privileges after the queue unhealthy amount South Park And movies Nicolas Cage. When I watched an episode called “The Benefits”, I actually laughed aloud – which surprised, because I hate this show more than I can articulate at the moment – because there is one of the gag who caught me out of guard: on stage behind Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) Hiwatt; The most unpleasant equipment for the café, because these things are loud like hell.
Although I cannot recognize the exact model of Hiwatt amplifier Friends Episode, I can assure you that it was intentionally placed in a central feeling like a gag for musically inclined.
I can also confirm that the speaker cabinet packs four 12-inch speakers and the performance of the amplifier power could be anywhere from 80-120 watts of the pipe energy, depending on how many valves are located in the unit.
Like someone who played in the bands during my formative years and well to adulthood, I can tell you with the greatest certainty that in that hiwatt half stack behind Phoebe Friends The episode was placed in the background to cause laughter because it is absolutely excessive.
For context, I once played bass for Stoner Metal Band and both guitarists played through similar sets. Since the usual complex is played “I have to be the loudest person in the room”, which is typical guitarist behavior, I remember remembering my own kit to find my place in the mix.
The general rule for bass players, like me, who play through fixed sets suggests that you need at least three times the power input to keep up with a similarly rated AMP -powered pipe. During one test, I left my 500 watt set so high that we climbed the luminaires from the ceiling.
We were so loud that we had to have the band’s meeting to refuse during the rehearsal because we were Drowning of the drum kit. What’s more, playing the loud in the basement is so bad with your hearing that it actually throws your balance to a point where you go to the door frame after jamming if you don’t have hearing protection.
So when I saw Friends Suggest that Phoebe uses for his central concerts with a high center of AMP, spat my drink and eventually had to give the family a dog bath because it was totally blasted with a diet coke.
When I first saw Phoebe’s Hiwatt in “The One With the Medusa” I immediately looked up Friends The episode online to see if anyone noticed it. What I learned through my research is that Friends He has some independent credit I did not know about, because I have not followed the series since it was originally broadcast (maybe I should overlook and re -evaluate this information). From Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), wearing the MC5 T -shirt in “The The With The Lottery”, for Phoebe’s Hiwatt, the fans of the show pointed to the amount of Easter eggs that indicate the cast of the cast Friends They are much cooler than the characters that show all unbearable (fighting with me).
The fans suggested that the amplifier gets into it Friends As a result of the crew member wrote in the production budget so that they could take it home after the episode, but I can’t find anything online that confirms or denies this claim.
While I always appreciate this level of small cooking books, especially if it is for free music equipment, I am willing to accept that someone who works on the show simply thought it would be fun to have a half stack on the stage as a visual graft because it brings Hiwatt to the cafe. Central Perk, which is that you need to see that it is in one to see that the one who has that it is, that it is in one to see that the one who has the one who has the one who is to see.
