Hamzah Sheeraz will move to the super medium weight to start campaigning in this class after his abysmal effort against the 160 -pound WBC champion, Carlos Adames, last month.
Promoter Frank Warren told him The ring That 25 -year -old sheraz will move to 168. This movement makes sense for Sheraz because he can align for a colossal payment day if he receives an opportunity for the title against the unified medium -weight champion Canelo Alvarez.
Most fans would agree that Hamzah will be even worse in 168, but does not have a real option. There are no money opportunities in 160, and clearly will never win a world title against existing champions in the division. At least if it approaches the super medium weight, you can get a great payment day and then the transition to celebrity matches.
Hamzah Sheeraz must be kept away from these contestants because they would ruin their chances of fighting Canelo:
– Diego Pacheco
– Osleys Iglesias
– Caleb plant
– Christian Milli
– Jaime Munguia
– Bruno Surace: *This could be a winner
– Sergiy Derevyanchenko
Warren needs to treat these guys as the equivalent of The third rail And keep Hamzah away from them if he wants to keep him winning enough to obtain the giant struggle of the day of payment against Canelo.
Obviously, you can’t match Sheeraz against Semipesado weight murderers Like David Benavász, David Morrell, Callum Smith, Joshua Buatsi, Anthony Yarde or Artur Beterbiev. It is not built for that type of fighter.
Look at Edgar Berlanga. Cañó last September last September, and obtained a large payment day of $ 10 million of $ 10 million. If it worked for Berlanga, it can also also for Hamzah.
Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 kos) seemed completely out of his league against Adames, looking to lose 11 of the 12 rounds, but the judges surprisingly scored the fight as an unpopular draw of 12 rounds. However, fans saw that Hamzah was overcome and saw him as a loss.
Adames seriously exposes Sheraz in that fight, which shows that he does not belong to fighting for a world title against any champion. The point is that Adames was seen as the weakest bond among the champions at 160, and Sheeraz looked very attentive.
Sheeraz could have fought against the IBF, and the OMB champion, Janibek Alimkhanuly, or the Amb Erislandy Lara champion. Those guys are considered the best fighters of the division, but Hamzaah would have been food for them.
