President Donald Trump HR 1968 signed, the Law on Assignments and Continuous Extensions of the whole year, 2025, after approving the Chamber and the Senate. The approval of the continuous resolution (CR), which was backed by Trump, officially arrested a possible closure of the government.
The CR extends the government budget until the end of September and was approved by the majority of the Senate Republicans. Only Senator Rand Paul, RK.Y., voted against the bill. Senate minority leader Chuck SchumerDn.y., faced a violent reaction on Friday by other Democrats after announcing his intention to vote for the bill.

Before the bill approved the Senate, former president of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi He issued a statement that urges Democratic senators to “listen to women.” California’s congresswoman referred to the representative Rosa Delauro, D-ct., And Senator Patty Murray, D-WA., Which opposed the bill.

Trump seemed to listen to the Senate’s vote while answering the reporters’ questions at the Andrews joint base. He told the media that he was “very impressed” by the Senate that passed the CR.
