New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s The office said Friday that she and President Trump had a “productive” meeting at the White House while arguing several issues, such as rates and energy.

The White House also confirmed the meeting to Fox News Digital, but said it was out of the record and that there would be no reading.

Trump told journalists on Thursday: “Kathy Hochul, a very pleasant woman; she will come tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock to meet me.”
He added that he would discuss the natural gas pipe of the Constitution of Pennsylvania to New York, among other issues.
They met in the midst of tensions between the two, including congestion prices. The Trump administration ordered the termination of the congestion price for next Friday.

Hochul responded by saying at a press conference: “I am here to say that New York has not worked under a king in more than 250 years. We are sure they will not start now.” Fox 5 reported.

“There is a great disconnection between the reality that we know that New York and the perception of reality outside the White House face,” he added at a meeting of the New York Transport Department Board this week. “I guarantee that the president has never had to endure losing a child’s sporting event because he was caught in a delayed train.”
Earlier this month, the Democratic governor said that “he will lead the resistance” against Trump.
Hochul said that “he would defend himself a lot” during an interview with the “morning edition” of NPR on Monday when asked about the congestion prices of New York City that Trump’s administration moved to the blockade last month.

“We offered an olive branch. “Those areas were a common land. But once you get the first blood over us, we will return strongly. And I will lead the resistance in policies such as you are hurting the New Yorkers directly. This is our decision, not yours.”
Two weeks before, however, Hochul said he did not plan to lead the resistance.
