The Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (18-1, 12 KOs) medium weight won a unanimously amazingly broad decision of 12 round in a fight that seemed to be close enough to be a draw against the second level fighter Patrice Volny (19-2, 13 kos) on Saturday night in its headline in the Caribbean Royale in Orlando, Florida.

Williams, 28, focused on using his volume blow style to overcome Volny of 35 years older, stronger and much older. The rounds were very close, which makes it impossible to determine who was improving the action. In the end, the judges focused on the strong end of the ammunition, but the scores were out of place because of the way the fight was developed.

118-110
116-112

After the fight, the promoter of the party room, Eddie Hearn, said he wants to give Williams ammunition an opportunity for the title before the end of the year. He did not say which champion, but since the ammunition is classified higher with the AMB in #7, Hearn will point to the champion Erislandy Lara so that Williams fight.
I do not see ammunition defeating Lara, the WBC champion Carlos Adames and especially the IBF/WBO champion Janibek Alimkhanuly. Those boys hit too much and have too much talent for the ammunition of Light Williams still very green. Fight as if it were muscular and cannot generate power for some reason.
“That was, with much, the best victory of his career,” said promoter Eddie Hearn about Williams ammunition. “The medium weight division is a bit dead now. I think in 2025, it is time for this man to fight for a world title. “
In the other notable fight in the letter, super medium or should say that the cruise weight, Edgar Berlanga (23-1, 18 kos) destroyed Jonathan González-Ortiz (20-1-1, 16 ko) in the first round.
Berlanga came from his defeat against Canelo Álvarez last September, and he could say his fleshy and overweight physique that he had been eating well “The Bag” that he got for that fight.
Berlanga was 193 pounds for that fight, but tonight, it seemed even heavier, which gave González-Ortiz, 35, no possibility of winning; It is not that I ever have the opportunity for any weight. This was a designed mismatch.
The very tattooed Berlanga dropped González-Ortiz three times with hard blows in the head. The referee intervened and stirred it after the third fall. Time was at 2:31 of the former. González-Ortiz seemed bad out of shape, showing a flaccid average section of being out of the ring for ten years solid.
