TO Michigan judge He sought that Walmart’s thieves offer free car washed for sentence, but the plan was canceled by a senior jurist.
Judge Jeffrey Clothier, who was chosen for the 67th County District Court of Genesee in January, said that it requires that up to 100 caught thieves stole from a local Walmart to wash cars free of charge would serve the community and possibly discourage others to steal the giant retail.
Clothier said the plan for “Walmart Washes” that occurred to him last month had the support of the store managers at the Walmart in the municipality of Grand Blanc. Walmart’s headquarters in Arkansas supported the idea, but said that cars was not offered on the property of the store, so the judge believed that he could find an alternative location for car wash, that he wanted to take place in spring.

“I don’t think everyone who steals is a bad person. Sometimes people are in their fate,” Clothier told The Associated Press at that time. “But there will be consequences when you break the law.”
“I think it will be humiliating to be washing cars if you see someone you know,” he said. “I’ll be there washing cars with them.”
But the main judge William Crawford II has now annulled Clothier, saying that the jurist Junior should have asked for the approval of him and others Judicial officials.

“This is especially true when the proposed alternative punishment deviates from the usual and accepted methods,” Crawford said in a statement on Friday, added: “‘Walmart Washes’ will not take place as reported.”
Clothier said he was upset by Crawford’s ruling, although he still wants to find new and unusual forms of punishment for store thieves.
“I’m frustrated,” said Clothier. “I will still try to find a creative way to solve this problem.”

“He had 3 crimes of theft of Walmart New two days ago. In the last month, more than 100 has passed,” he added.
Clothier said that from 20 to 30 judges throughout the state who learned about the washing of cars they planned to join him the thieves.
The judge said he is now ordering other types of community service in the Walmart. Theft boxes instead of car washed.
