Rhode Island’s Democratic legislator arrested by DUI ordered the installing alcoholic cars


After being arrested for drunk driving in February, a judge in Cranston, Rhode IslandHe ordered a Democratic state legislator to install an breathalyzer in his vehicle to continue driving.

The images show Sánchez getting their hands in their pockets repeatedly, despite the repeated orders of a police officer to take off their pockets.

“How much do you drink?” One of the other officers at the scene asked Sanchez. “You are drinking, just be honest. You smell to alcohol.”

When an officer asked Sanchez if he would take a bribery test in the field, he asked if he could order an Uber if he refused. An officer told him that he could not order an Uber, and refused to take a field sobriety test on the scene.

In an initial appearance of the Court on the day of his arrest, Sánchez declared himself innocent of driving at a drunken state, and since then he declared himself innocent of minor civil positions of rejecting a chemical test and the lack of obeying traffic control devices.

The judicial records show that on February 19, Sánchez’s license was suspended by Cranston William Noonan magistrate. However, he was awarded a difficulty license that allows him to drive and from his daily work and the State’s house to fulfill his legislative duties between the hours of the 8 am and the 8 pm with the condition that he installs a transmitter of ignition ignition in his vehicle.

In a brief conference prior to the trial on February 24, the case was transferred from the District Court to the Superior Court of the State.

He did not apologize and, on the other hand, said: “I will not let my personal actions become a distraction of the problems that really matter: families, companies and concerns of my community.”
