Shakur Stevenson was angry with Teofimo López to publish a undefeated WBC contender, Jadier Herrera, who called him last Saturday night after his victory over José Macias Enriquez in Liverpool.
Shakur changed the frame, telling Teofimo (21-1, 13 kos) that he will move to 140 and challenge him for his welter weight of the WBO Light to try to become a world champion of four divisions.
“How about fighting with me next, Teo? We are going to align it, we both do business with the same people 🤫 I will go 140 for this in God,” Shakur said in unknown.
Teofimo has larger fish to fry instead of wasting time with a fighter who does not have a fan base. Shakur is caught with his Mayweather’s outdated era strugglethat does not fit into the modern era of boxing.
Teofimo had fun by the way Jadier called Shakur last weekend, which was hilarious and at the same time relaxed. A guy like Herrera could destroy Shakur’s career if he was given the opportunity to fight him.
Obviously, that is the reason why Stevenson’s promoter Eddie Hearn, opted for the safe choice, matching him against the electrician who hits the light Josh Padley last month after Floyd Schofield withdrew from his fight on February 22 with a disease. Herrera was one of the options that were being considered, and Hearn selected Padley.
Cuban Knockout Artist Herrera (17-0, 15 kos) demanded that Shakur “send me a contract,” adding, adding, adding, “I’m going to kill you.“
The last comment could have been in response to Shakur discarding the idea of fighting the 22 -year -old Herrera, as absurd, stating: “They are still trying to head towards young children. ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Fans on social networks were not buying Shakur’s excuses, saying that his last opponent, Josh Padley, was not a great name, and would have been an easy job for Zadier Herrera of 5’11. “In addition, Shakur has never fought against big names throughout his career, especially since he moved to 135 in 2023.

“I’m not playing. Send me a contract. I’m not playing. Send me a contract. I’m going to kill you. Send me a contract. Don’t play with me. Send me a contract, ”said Jadier Herrera to Boxing newsCalling Shakur Stevenson after his seventh round victory over José Macias Enriquez on Saturday night in Liverpool, England.
