Demand for family archives of Ohio’s grandmother after a fatal attack by Pit Bull

Two Pit Bulls who killed an Ohio grandmother until last year’s death were released freely despite their history of attacks, and even got into a cocaine stash weeks before the incident, according to a newly filed demand.

Jo Ann Echelbarger, 73, was killed by a couple of Pit Bulls called Apollo and Echo, who were owned by suspects Susan and Adam Withers, on October 17. The horrible incident took place in the Ashton Village reserve, a residential complex in Ashville, Ohio.

According to a lawsuit filed on behalf of the Echelbarger family on March 13, the deceased had only lived in the complex for a few months before being killed. The two Pit Bulls “ran around the common areas of the reserve, and finally attacked Jo Ann while she was from Pacific Gardening.”

“Part of Jo Ann’s damage was the pain and physical suffering extreme and severe that he experienced in the previous moments, during and after being brutally attacked and before his death,” he described the presentation. “Part of this was caught in some of the most horrible videos that one could imagine.”

The tragedy was worsened by the life of Echelbarger Fear of dogs, The demand scored. The dogs were later killed by the police.

“The attack and the last moments of Jo Ann’s life were particularly scary because Jo Ann feared dogs since he had previously been bitten by a dog as a child,” said the demand.

“In fact, the dogs were so aggressive and persistent in their threatening, violent and aggressive behavior that the police were forced to shoot and kill dogs to end terror,” the demand described. “And even after the bullets hit one of the dogs, he returned to Jo Ann and continued attacking before running back to Withers’s house.”

According to the demand, the October incident was not the first time that dogs got into trouble. The document lists several violent or disruptive incidents that involve canines, including an October 2023 incident where Apollo attacked a resident and killed his dog.

According to the reports, Withers dogs were ordered to leave the community in a judicial order on September 11 that had not been applied, according to the lawsuit.

Three weeks before the death of Echelbarger, on September 27, the police was called to see the dogs because “Echo and Apollo had ingested the cocaine of Adam Withers.”

“The images of the incident’s body chamber reveal that Ashville pd He called the director of the director in vain, “the lawsuit said.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Rex H. Elliott, the lawyer who represents the family of Echelbarger, accused the residential complex and the negligence guardian of the Pickaway County County in the situation.

“The fact is that if the dog director or the condominium association had done their job, Jo Ann Echelbarger would be alive today and his family would not have to live with this deep loss or the constant memory of the horrible nature in which he was killed,” Elliott said.

“These failures resulted in the death of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother of 73 years.”
