The organizers of San Francisco Pride (SF Pride) shared financial concerns because the main companies obtain funds this year.
The executive director of SF Pride, Suzanne Ford, said the program will continue, but the organizers will have to do due with a smaller budget. Ford expressed suspicion that this was part of a business wave that distance themselves from Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs under the Trump administration.
“I’m very worried. Obviously, there is federal government pressure,” Ford told a Local Affiliate of Zorro.
“The tone has changed in this country. Companies already cover their bets, and I think that people who, this is not their difficult central value in their corporation, they are perhaps rethinking their investment,” Ford said.

SF Pride is a non -profit organization that directs an annual parade and a festival for two days in San Francisco. Scheduled for June 28 to 29, this year’s theme is “queer joy is resistance.” The event is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, which attracts more than 1 million attendees every year, according to its site.

Ford said that five corporations withdrew their sponsorship from SF Pride, which resulted in a loss of approximately $ 300,000, and told Fox News Digital: “The general objective of the budget is $ 2.3 million, and although we have almost $ 1 million already committed, we now need to raise additional $ 1.3 million to meet our goal. We remain focused on obtaining the necessary funds and appreciate the continuous support of our community partners “.
The companies that, according to the reports, obtained their funds, are Benefit Cosmetics, Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, the Diageo Alcoholic Beverage Company and the La Cream Wine Company.
However, the cream told Fox News Digital: “The cream remains totally committed to the LGBTQ+community. Although we had to reduce our SF Pride activation this year, it was never our intention to get away completely. We are in ongoing conversations with the organizers and it is our hope of finding a way of associating in this year’s event.”

The statement continued to say: “Our company has not distanced Dei: we continue to support pride events throughout the country and in our backyard and maintain our long defense association with California equality.”
President Donald Trump has taken energetic measures against Dei by Executive Orders Signature Ending Dei’s policies in the Federal Labor Force and federal hiring and spending.
The main companies such as Facebook, McDonald’s, Walmart and Harley-Davidson are going back or have completely left Dei’s efforts.
