Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez de New York and Senator Bernie Sanders De Vermont, champions on the left, repeatedly pointed to President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally of Elon Musk while starting a three -day swing through three electorally important western states.

But Sanders, and especially ChanceHe also trained part of his fire in the Democratic Party, with the best known member of the so -called “squad” of diverse and progressive chamber members who urge their own party to have “the courage to fight” against the Republicans.

Trump has been in a tear since he returned to the White House two months ago, flexing his political muscles to expand the presidential powers, since he has overturned the long -standing government policy and made great cuts to the federal workforce through a gust of orders and executive actions.

“We have a message for Mr. Trump and that is, we will not allow him to move this country to an oligarchy,” Sanders emphasized. “We are not going to allow you to your friend Mr. Musk and the other billionaires wreak havoc in this country.”

But the inability of the Democrats in Congress, who are out of power in the White House, as well as in the Chamber and the Senate, to stop the majority Republicans is causing tensions within the party in the midst of calls growing so that the leaders come from a stronger strategy to resist Trump.

“It’s just Republicans,” said Ocasio-Cortez to Crowd in Arizona. “We need a Democratic Party who fights more for us. That means that each and every one of us chooses and votes for the Democrats and the elected officials who know how to defend the working class … I want all levels of positions to see and support the Democrats who fight, because those who really can win against Republicans.”
