“Having reviewed all the evidence available, I have concluded that Urias violated our policy and that the discipline is appropriate,” said Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred in a statement on Friday.
MLB said Urias agreed to be evaluated by the joint policy board established by MLB and the Association of Players and comply with any of its recommendations.
Urias became a free agent after the World Series 2023 when his contract of $ 4.7 million and one year expired.

Urias was also arrested in May 2019 under suspicion of domestic aggression. While he was suspended by MLB, he was not prosecuted by the lawyer of the city of Los Angeles on the condition that he completed a 52 -week domestic violence advice program.
In eight seasons of the big leagues, all with the Dodgers, Urias has 60-25 with an effectiveness of 3.11. He led the National League with an effectiveness of 2.16 in 2022 and was a member of the team that won the 2020 World Series, going 4-0 with a salvation and an effectiveness of 1.17 in six apparitions in postseason.
