This event is a welcome fight for the Australian boxing champion Skye Nicolson, since he will make the third defense of his CMB title. Nicolson’s opponent, 36 -year -old Brown Tiara, is an eight -year -old veteran who will challenge her first world title.
In April 2024, the ascent star Skye Nicolson won a unanimous decision victory over Sarah Mahfoud and won the WBC World Pen Vacante title. Three months later, he defended his belt for the first time, while defeating Dyana Vargas.
Nicolson would fight for the third time in 2024 when he beat Raven Chapman for a unanimous decision. Nicolson has talked about his interest in a unification fight, but before receiving the opportunity to face a fellow champion, he must successfully defend his belt against a hard opponent.
Tiara Brown made her professional boxing debut in September 2016 when she arrested Khadija Sanders in the first round. During the next five years, Brown would balance his career in boxing with his work as Washington DC police officer.
Despite the fact that he had to work during the day and train at night, Tiara Brown could remain undefeated. She resigned from her work in 2021 to concentrate strictly on boxing. Now, the undefeated contender is about to fight for a world title.
The 29 -year -old champion Skye Nicolson, is a left -handed expert who rarely loses rounds. She has an elite soap, a precise time and an excellent foot game. The Challenger, Tiara Brown, is an aggressive fighter who has energy, good blows and a constant work rate.
Defensor champion Skye Nicolson is used to dictating the rhythm of his fights with the jab and his foot game. The Challenger Tiara Brown does not like Nicolson’s struggle style. Brown has hinted at the fact that he will cut the ring, push the rhythm of the fight and make Nicolson work constantly during the course of the championship fight.
“There is a difference between boxing and race. Skye runs from his opponents. He throws seven or eight blows per round,” Brown said. “We want to see a fight. I’m going to make my part. I will not allow him to do that Sonic The Hedgehog running for the ring all night. They see on Saturday, I’m cutting it.”
