Trump admin removing legal status for more than 530k migrants

But the notice in the Federal Registry said that some migrants in the United States under CHNV can remain in the country by case.

CHNV helped about 213,000 Haitians to enter the US.

Last month, DHS announced plans to end another Immigration designationTemporary protected state, or TPS, for 500,000 Haitians who legally live in the United States. TPS was given to migrants from designated countries that face unsafe conditions, including armed conflict.

The agency also ended TPS for Venezuelans living in the United States, although this is being challenged in court.

Trump’s efforts to eliminate legal and illegal migrants from the United States since they assumed office in January, as part of their immigration agenda, have faced numerous legal obstacles.

According to reports, the Trump administration is also dismantling internal guards for DHS, including its civil rights and civil liberties office, which investigated accusations of abuse and discrimination within the application of immigration, according to Bloomberg News.
