The Super weight pen Maliek Montgomery (20-1, 18 kos) was upset by Jeremy Hill (22-3-1, 13 kos), losing a unanimous decision of ten rounds on Saturday night at the Sycuan Resort & Casino in the drawer, California.

In the first three rounds, Montgomery surpassed Hill mainly to the body. In the last seconds of the fourth round, Montgomery hurt Hill with a body shot.

Hill continued to have a good round in the sixth round, going from Orthodox to left out, counteracting Montgomery, who kept pressure on him. Hill got a combination of four blows in the seventh round in the first minute, with another good round. In the eighth round, it was round trip.

Montgomery continued advancing in the ninth round, being counteracted by Hill. This was another closed round won by Hill. The tenth and last round was a total fight, the best round of the fight. Hill outlanded Montgomery.

The scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 98-92. Rudy Barragan was the referee.

In the main event, the light Kurt ‘Scoob’ Scoby, 16-1 (14), arrested César ‘ras tas’ Villarraga, 11-12-1 (5), at 2:14 of the fifth round of eight programmed rounds.

In the second round, Scoby landed a left hook in recent seconds. He continued with another left on his chin and lowered César ‘ras tas’ Villarraga for an 8 content by referee Rudy Barragan when the round ended. Scoby landed a burst of blows in the fifth round without return, and referee Barragán called a stop.

Super Middleweight Southpaw Donte ‘Mr. Ko ‘Layne, 7-0 (6), defeated the left-handed Malik Calhoun, 3-3-1 (2), for a unanimous decision of six rounds.

In the first four rounds, Layne had a slight advantage. In the fifth round, Layne suffered a cut in the left eyebrow. He was close in the sixth and last round, with Calhoun having an advantage.

The scores were 58-56, 58-56 and 59-55. David Sullivan was the referee.

Bantamweight Richard Fernández Jr., 3-0 (2), knocked on Garret Palmer, 0-2) at 1:26 of the first round of four programmed rounds.

In the first rounds, the first 30 seconds, a combination of Fernández on the chin dropped Palmer for an 8 content of the referee Chris Leamon. A minute after the round, a left hook towards the chin from Fernández and Down returned to Palmer for a count of 8. A gust of Fernández without return caused the referee Leamon to stir it.
