Brian’s father, Murry and Mother, Audree, tied the knot in 1938. In 1942 they continued to welcome Brian in 1942 in 1944 and 1946, before divorce in 1966 died in 1973 at the age of 55, while Audree died in 1997 at the age of 80.
Brian’s brothers, Dennis and Carl were born in 1944 and 1946. All brothers gained international recognition for their group, Beach Boys. Dennis, drummer, died of drowning in 1983 at the age of 39. Carl, the main guitarist Beach Boys, died of lung cancer in 1998. He was 51.

Brian and Ledbetter received five children: Dakota, Delanie, Dylan and Dash. Brian’s wife died in January 2024 at the age of 77.
“My heart is broken. Melinda, my beloved wife 28 years old, died this morning,” Brian shared in a statement after her death. “Our five children and we’re just in tears. We’re lost. Melinda was more than my wife. She was my savior. She gave me the emotional security I needed to have a career. I was encouraged to create the music that was to my heart.

“About a year after our marriage, we decided to want children, and we didn’t marry until I was 48 years old,” Ledbetter explained in an interview from 2004 with Larry King. “We decided to accept each other.”
