Chachi Valencia, whose theatrical name is Rocketman Valencia, was performing his act of human cannon ball that challenges death in the Riverside County Fair and the National Date Festival in Indigo when a strong burst of wind blew him on March 2.

“Taking it day by day with my faithful puppy by his side,” David Valencia wrote in an update of the Chachi Gofundme page. “Grateful for the time to heal and absorb all love and curled up. Here are brighter days ahead.”

The images of the accident show Valencia, a sixth generation Circus artistNavigating the air after being thrown from a 35 -feet human cannon. While falling to the landing place, a burst of wind blows it towards the side of the network, which makes it bouncing in the air and crashes against the concrete floor below.

“Just before the shot, I think the wind moved and began a cross wind, and that is what happened: the wind caught me and threw me aside,” said Valencia said Fox 11.

Valencia can be seen, putting motionless on the ground when employees rushed to call emergency responders.

“I don’t remember anything until I was in the ambulance on my way to the hospital,” Valencia said.

The Riverside County Fairgrounds did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.

The reckless suffered multiple injuries for the incident, including a broken doll, cracked ribs and a lacerated liver, and was urgently taken to the hospital, where he was discharged only a few hours later.

“I am really sore. It’s hard for me to move, it is mainly due to the cracked ribs that I have,” Valencia told Fox 11. “I also have a broken doll that doesn’t bother me so much.”

Before each launch, Valencia must decide whether the conditions are safe to perform, and admits that it will weigh the option to go back due to the wind conditions of the fairgrounds shortly before the accident.

“You see all the people who are waiting for you to do your own, and they are very excited, and you know that I could not cancel, you know?” said.

Valencia has 23 years of experience carrying out its human cannon ball trick, appearing in the Olympic London 2012 Closing ceremony and several sporting events throughout the United States, according to its website.

But before Valencia can return to heaven to continue his career of two decades, he must focus on the rehabilitation and healing of his wounds, while reevaluating his risk tolerance for his trick that challenges gravity.

“I will definitely not take so many risks, so many opportunities, especially when it winds,” Valencia said.
