President Donald Trump On Monday, he said that he will soon announce tariffs aimed at cars, pharmaceutical products and other industries, indicating his plans to accumulate more radical tasks in addition to his next next one “reciprocal tariffs“
“We will announce the cars very shortly,” Trump said at a cabinet meeting. “We already announce the steel, as you know, and aluminum.”
“We will announce the pharmaceutical products at some point,” he said, “because we have to have pharmaceutical products.”
“So we will announce some of these things in the very close future, not in the long future, the very close future,” Trump said.
Trump in another White House event on Monday added wood and semiconductor industries to his list, saying that tariffs on these two sectors would come “on the road.”
However, even when he accumulated in new sectors for possible tariffs, Trump said in the same event that “he can give many breaks” in reciprocal rates, which will enter into force on April 2.
When they are pressed to clarify whether the sector tariffs will also begin that day, Trump initially said: “Yes, it will be.”
Then he said: “But all rates are not included that day.”
He also hinted that cars can be announced before reciprocal tariffs began.
“We will announce it quite soon in the next few days, probably, and then arrive on April 2, that will be reciprocal tariffs,” he said.

A White House official told CNBC on the early Monday that tariffs aimed at specific sectors “can happen or not.”
“A final decision has not been made that the sector has been added in reciprocal,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
