The new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, has asked for a national election on April 28.

The main contestants of the elections are Carney, leader of the Liberal Party, and Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party.

With Canada’s businesses that recover from a commercial dispute with the United States, Carney, a former central banker, will be presented as the best equipped candidate to face Donald Trump.
