Yankees also published its own statement on Sunday after Miller’s death was revealed, which partly read: “Our love for the Gardner family is unconditional and absolute and we offer our lasting support and understand their desire for privacy at the moment.

Yankees CEO Aaron Boone addressed Miller’s death with reporters On Sunday in the spring training team in Tampa, Florida.

“We are talking about being constantly a family, and although Brett has been gone for several years, it continues,” said Boone, 52, for New York Post. “Many people in (clubhouse) know the family intimately. It’s a very hard day and very difficult news.”

Boone added: “As best we can, we will pray for the Gardner family and where we can offer support. This is the unimaginable kind that unfortunately it is where we are with it. Very sad. Very hard.”

Brett’s last four seasons with Yankees came with Boone as a team manager who took over duties in 2018.

New York Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza He also dealt with Miller’s death during his availability of the media on Sunday.
