NASA spokesman Bethany Stevens accredited President Donald Trump for ensuring the return of two astronauts stranded for more than nine months at the International Space Station.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Stevens said that the mission of rescuing astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams was a “great victory for the Trump administration.”
The success is only the beginning, he said, as Trump nominated to become NASA administrator, Jared Isaacman, looks for “Mars and beyond.”

“This is a great victory for The Trump administration. And it would not have happened without the intervention of President Trump. The next in the file, continuing to implement the ambitious space agenda of President Trump that he promoted in his inaugural speech is to confirm his nominee for the NASA administrator, Jared Isaacman, “Stevens said.
She stressed that Isaacman “was the first civilian to make a Human Space Walk “ and is a humanitarian who has worked extensively with St. Jude. Like Trump, Isaacman is a “strange,” he said.
“President Trump was also considered a stranger, and the American people have returned to office, just showing how much they appreciate the commercial side that he brings to the table. And Mr. Isaacman also has experience as an entrepreneur of an extremely successful business,” Stevens said. “I think he is very suitable, like 30 astronauts who wrote in support of him and multiple Republican governors, who is very suitable to take the helm here in NASA and implement the president’s agenda.”
Last Tuesday, Wilmore, 62, and Williams, 59, splashed in the Gulf of America off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, after Elon Musk’s Spacex Dragon spacecraft reached the ISS a few days before.
Stevens made it clear that NASA is ready to “roll the ball” after its safe return to Earth, but pointed out that its mission will be thrown into the heart of Washington, DC

NASA astronauts stranded in space due to Biden’s “lack of courage” says the White House
Isaacman faces a next Senate confirmation hearing while Trump seeks to ensure another candidate designated for administration.
Earlier this month, eight Republican governors – Ron Desantis, from Florida; Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas; Texas Gregg Abbott; Bill Lee de Tennessee; Brian Kemp of Georgia; Mike Kehoe from Missouri; And Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma, wrote to the president of the Committee on Committee, Science and Transportation of the Senate, Ted Cruz, R-Texas. They advocated a “rapid” confirmation, pointing out the “incomparable capacity of Trump’s nominee to promote bold initiatives” and Isaacman’s understanding of “the complex landscape of modern space exploration.”

“I think these governors are aware that the result of the November elections was a mandate of the American people to implement change and achieve change,” Stevens told Fox News Digital. “And President Trump has been causing that change since the first day. The next step here is to confirm Jared Isaacman quickly, so that we can work on the ambitious space agenda of the president, while promoting in his inaugural speech.”
“We go to the moon and Mars and beyond, and we have less than four years at this time to overcome that considerably ambitious agenda,” he said. “And we need to implement its leadership here in NASA so that the ball surrounds there. So I think that is the next step to be the United States first in space.”
