Republican frustrated due to lack of responses on gender issues, Dr. Oz abortion


Senator Josh Hawley, R-MO., He has persistent questions about the services centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) of President Donald Trump, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and his past positions on transgender treatments for minors and abortions, and says that the nominee has not responded to his investigations.

The Missouri Republican told Fox News Digital in an interview that is still concerned about Oz’s past to “promote transgender surgeries for minors, promoting transgender hormonal treatments and puberty blockers for minors.”

He presented a series of questions to Oz about the subjects at the beginning of the month, but Hawley said Oz never answered. “He hasn’t done it. Which I think it’s strange,” he said.

“I hope you have changed your views,” Hawley added. “I would like to know that it is in total alignment with President Trump, who has been tremendously strong in this.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, the White House spokesman Kush Desai said: “Each member of the Trump administration is working from the same play book, President Trump’s play book, to restore common sense policies and put an end to the ideological nonsense of the left that affects our government.”

“We look forward to the rapid confirmation of Dr. Oz’s Senate so that he can join the rest of our All-Star team in the HHS that works to make the United States again healthy again when restoring common sense, transparency and confidence in our medical care apparatus.”

As Hawley pointed out, OZ has used its television program for platform people who supported and promoted transgender treatments, particularly for minors.

“Because it is quite difficult to enter life as it is,” he added.

When Oz ran for the Senate in Pennsylvania as a Republican in 2022, he still opposed the government’s jurisdiction on the issue of abortion.
