The X-Men Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart stars are repeating their roles by joining the cast of the next Avengers: Doomsday de Marvel.
The film will be released in May 2026, with Robert Downey JR already announced as the interpretation of the villain Doctor Doom.
Sir Ian has not appeared as Magneto since last X-Men: Days of Future Past 2014. Meanwhile, Sir Patrick for the last repeated his professor Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of madness in 2022.
Marvel Studios apparently listed the launch of the new film by Publish a video showing a row of chairs with names on the back.
In addition to Sir Ian and Sir Patrick, other names included Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Mackie.
They joined Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova, and Simu Liu, who plays Shang-Chi.
There were also chairs for Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, David Harbor and Kelsey Grammer.
The members of the next reset of Fantastic Four this year, including the last actor of us, Pedro Pascal, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach of the bear, joined them.
Channing Tatum, who appeared as the Gambit of X-Men characters in Deadpool & Wolverine, is also named.
Last summer, Downey JR was revealed Return to Marvel’s cinematographic universe after five years, but not to the role of Iron Man that launched the great franchise.
In Comic in San Diego, Downey JR appeared on the hidden stage behind the iconic mask and the green layer of Doctor Doom before appearing to fans.
Speaking to journalists, he said: “I like to play complicated characters.”
The 59 -year -old was instrumental at the launch of Marvel Movie Universe, starring in his first Iron Man movie in 2008.
The last time he appeared in a Marvel movie in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
The American actor won an Oscar for his role in Oppenheimer last year.
