Four current and previous deputies of the same Sheriff Office in Texas They have died from apparent suicide for a period of six weeks, according to officials.
The deputies of the Harris County Sheriff’s office were found dead between February 6 and March 19.
In the first incident, retired deputy Long Nguyen died from apparent suicide on February 6, ABC 13 reported, citing officials.
Deputy Christina Kohler, who had been missing for more than a week, was found dead by the apparent suicide on March 13.

Three days later, the body of former deputy María Vásquez was discovered. Houston’s forensic doctor ruled that Vásquez, who retired from the agency in December, died of apparent suicide.
On March 19, retired deputy William Bozeman also died from apparent suicide after 24 years in the Harris County Sheriff Office.
Sheriff Ed González cried the suicides reported from his deputies.

“Today we learned of a retiree from the Harris County Sheriff’s office who died of an apparent suicide. This makes us three in the period of one week,” Gonzalez wrote on Facebook.
“Our hearts are heavy. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, colleagues and friends. It is a painful reminder that life is fragile and time is not promised,” he continued.
The president of the organization of the deputies of Harris County, José López, said that the deaths of the deputies “surprised many of us.”

“One is too many. Two? Three? Yes, he is definitely devastating,” López said.
“It hits very close to home, and it is a reminder of how fragile is life, and it is also a reminder that we need to take care of each other. We need to take care of each other,” López added.
The Sheriff’s office has launched Mental health Initiatives to address the recent trend. López said he has also been helping his fellow deputies to process pain.
