Amber ruffin no longer host 2025 White House Correspondents dinner


Amber ruffin He will no longer host the dinner of the Association of Correspondents of the White House 2025.

WHCA announced through the President’s note Eugene Daniels that during the annual galaising there will no longer be a celebrity host. (WHCD will take place on Saturday 26 April)

“The WHCA Board of Directors unanimously decided not to introduce comedy performances this year,” Daniels wrote in his notice, according to his notification CNN newsletter Brian Stelter. “At this subsequent moment of journalism, I want to ensure that it focuses on the division policy, but on the award of our colleagues for their excellent work and the provision of scholarships and mentoring, the next generation of journalists.”

It was announced last month Ruffin, 46 years old, would emcee Whcd.

“When I started thinking about what the entertainer would fit perfectly this year, Amber was immediately on top of my list,” Daniels said in February declaration. “He has the ability to walk on the border between commentary and humor, while provoking his audience to think about important issues of the day. I am enthusiastic and honored to say yes.”

He added: “Amber’s unique talents are ideal for this contemporary political and cultural climate.

Before changing programming Ruffin joked that during Thursday 27th March “scared” a concert, a performance “Daily animal” Podcast.

“I have my Google documents always open to throw jokes and small thoughts I have, but … we’re a little way out,” Ruffin Podcast Hosts said Samantha Bee and Joanna Coles. “News are happening in such a mad clip, how should we hit this moving goal? How could you forget some of these things, do you know what I mean?”

Asked if he expects President Donald Trump Ruffin briefly said, “No, no.”

“I honestly don’t think it’s an important thing for him,” Ruffin said on Thursday, remarking that he was currently in the dark about participants. “I’m sure at some point (I get crushing). I know news organizations that will participate. I don’t think people confirm only a little later.”

According to Ruffin, she was also instructed to keep all her jokes fair and balanced.
