Drones attack on Ukraine shows a new Russian offensive


Two people died and another 35 were injured after a Russian drone attack hit a military hospital and a mall in Ukraine on Saturday night, Ukrainian officials say.

Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov condemned the Kharkiv attack In a statement on Sunday, saying that a 67 -year -old man and a 70 -year -old woman were killed. The attack occurs when Russia’s aggression in Ukraine does not show signs of stopping despite the efforts of the administration of President Donald Trump to accelerate peace conversations.

Ukraine says that many of the victims were military in treatment at the Military Hospital.

The Ukraine Air Force says that the attack consisted of 111 Russian drones, 65 of which were demolished and another 35 of which were electronically disabled or failed on their own.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy They predicted at the end of last week that Russian forces would increase their attacks in the coming weeks in an effort to reinforce their negotiation position for peace conversations.

“They are dragging the conversations and try to catch the United States in endless and useless discussions about false ‘conditions’ just to buy time and then try to take more lands,” Zelenskyy said on a visit on Thursday to Paris.

The attack on Saturday night occurred after four people died and 24 were injured on Friday night after the Russian drones hit Dnipro in the east of the country, according to the regional governor SERHII LYSAK and the emergency service of Ukraine. At least eight more people were injured when a Russian ballistic missile hit Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Zelenskyy, Governor Lysak reported.

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the “strategic initiative” of his forces on Thursday.

“Our troops, our boys are moving forward and releasing one territory after another, one settlement after another, every day,” he said in a public forum.

Zelenskyy begged Trump’s administration not to yield to Putin’s demands at the negotiating table.

On Thursday, Zelenskyy met with French president Emmanuel Macron before a summit in Paris of about 30 nations on how to strengthen kyiv’s hand and his military, since he pushes the high fire with Russia. Proposals are also being discussed to deploy European troops in the country in conjunction with any peace agreement.
