“Yeah, that was like the worst moment of my life,” she continued. “I will never forget that.”
In an interview for 2018 with Sports IllustratedSpiranac again discussed how comments on her physical appearance and playing on the golf course influenced her in front of the tournament.
“I was sitting in the bathroom, I just was like,” I don’t want to go through this pain, with this feeling of helplessness. Be alone. I’m afraid. “And I said I never wanted someone to feel the way I felt at the moment,” she said at that time. “I was bullied so bad, to the point that I didn’t want to live anymore.”
