President Donald Trump He made fun of him could run for a third mandate, explaining NBC News that he likes to work and “does not joke” about doing another career for the oval office.
“Many people want me to do it,” Trump told NBC News in a telephone interview on Sunday. “But, I mean, basically I tell you that we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”
For now, he is “focused on the current term”, but said to the exit that “he was not joking” about making a race for a third mandate.
“It’s too early to think about it,” he added.

The amendment 22 of the Constitutionwhich was ratified in 1951, prevents people from fulfilling more than two periods as president. The amendment was ratified after President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected as president for four periods.
Roosevelt died during his fourth term and vice president Harry Truman assumed the presidency. FDR is the only president in the history of the Nation that has been elected and attended more than two terms, which was largely due to the political and economic climate in the country and abroad, with its presidency developing in the midst of the great depression and the beginning of World War II.

“There are methods that you could do,” Trump said when he was asked how he could go About running for a third term. The departure raised a possible method where vice president JD Vance could apply for the presidency, win and pass the torch to Trump. The president said such scenario is one of the methods that could be used to fulfill a third mandate.
“But there are also others,” Trump added, without elaborating.
“I like to work,” he told The Outlet when asked if he wants to meet another term.

Trump previously mocked a third term, asking Republican legislators in January during a retreat: “Is it allowed to run again?”

The amendment would read: “No person will be chosen for the president’s office more than three times, nor will he be chosen for an additional term after being chosen for two consecutive periods, and no person who has held the position of president, or acted as president, for more than two years of a term to which someone else was elected president will be elected for the position of president more than Twice.”
Ogles told Fox Digital in January that Trump “has proven to be the only figure in modern history capable of reverting the decomposition of our nation and restoring the United States to greatness, and the necessary time must be given to achieve that goal.”
“To that end, I propose an amendment to the Constitution to review the limitations imposed by amendment 22 in presidential terms,” said Ogles. “This amendment would allow President Trump to fulfill three terms, ensuring that we can maintain the bold leadership that our nation needs so desperately.”
