In a ritzy enclave of South Florida, Chinese migrants are reaching the ground by boat, leading to investigation into human smuggling networks.
Coral Gables is a picturesque city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, known for its Mediterranean Renaissance architecture, wooded streets and lush landscapes. A neighborhood of Coral Gables, Gables Statures, is classified as the most expensive real estate market, according to Zillow data.
But in recent months, the dazzling city has seen an increase in Chinese migrant interceptions.
The increase in the city is representative of the influx of Chinese citizens of the state of Sunshine since 2020, according to US customs and protection data. UU. In 2020, Florida’s border protection officers interacted with 406 Chinese migrants and by 2024, that number increased to 723, an increase of 78%.

Fox News Digital spoke with Eric Brown, a green beech and founder and CEO of Empire Consulting, about the increase in migrants in the city of southern Florida.

“We believe that these people were brought here by water,” said the boss. “They were probably left, we assumed that somewhere around the southern end of Coral Gables, and approached the truck where they were loaded.”

Brown said he believes that migrants are entering illegally through the United States because The northern border It has a “little more security.”
