Actor Steve Guttenberg is lending a helping hand as wildfires continue to spread through the Los Angeles area.

While the reporter did not recognize Guttenberg at first, he later asked, “Are you an actor?” After Guttenberg, known for movies like Three men and a child and It takes twoconfirmed that he did, the reporter stating, “You look familiar now.”

During the interview, Guttenberg noted that he lives in the area but was concerned that friends could not evacuate their homes. “There are people stuck up there, so we’re trying to clear Palisades Drive,” he said. “There are families up there. Upstairs are pets. There are people who really need help.”
He reiterated how “it’s really important for everyone to come together,” adding: “Don’t worry about your personal possessions. Just get out. Grab your loved ones and get out. I have friends there who can’t get out now and have been ordered to evacuate.”
The interview ended with Guttenberg and the news crew being asked by firefighters to leave the area.
Guttenberg, who began acting professionally in the late 1970s, is well known for his roles in some of the biggest shows and movies of the 1980s, including Police Academy, Cocoon, A short cut and Bedroom window.
